Glenn Rushton, Horn's coach, expressed his confidence during a press conference after the Australian boxer won the title by unanimous decision against Pacquiao on Sunday.
"I can assure you, if there's a rematch, we will beat Manny Pacquiao by a far bigger margin," Rushton reportedly said.
"We have no doubt whatsoever about the outcome of that fight, and we say, bring it on, bring it on," Rushton added.
Some of the high-profile people who watched the 'Battle of Brisbane' were Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and Lord Mayor of Brisbane Graham Quirk, even praising Horn for his victory against a eight division boxing champion.
"It would be the best opportunity for Queensland and Brisbane to say, thanks Jeff, job well done, congratulations, you're a world champion," Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said. A parade and a ceremony was prepared for Horn where keys of the city were presented to him.
Horn said during the press conference that its natural for people to doubt his victory.
"There's always gonna be the backlash where people are gonna say I got lucky, or whatever, there's always gonna be the saying that I didn't win the fight, but I feel like I won the fight," Horn said.
"Now, hopefully, I'm a bit more recognized, and I've established myself in the boxing community a bit more," he added.
The results of Pacquaio and Horn's match easily became controversial. People who have watch the whole fight have been questioning the results, even ESPN's Teddy Atlas couldn't control his emotions.
Teddy Atlas, a veteran boxing commentator wasn't pleased with Horn winning over Pacquiao, ranting that championship shouldn't be given to someone only for his efforts. Because statistics speaks differently from the unanimous decision of the judges.
"They gave a trophy, a win, a huge win to Horn, the local kid for trying hard. You're not supposed to get for trying hard, you're supposed to get it for winning!" Atlas exclaimed.
In a face-to-face talk with Horn, he said, "Congratulations, great effort, but I thought you lost".
Even athletes were taken aback with the results, majority of their reactions are against the decision.
