This is what veteran journalist and Manila Standard editor-in-chief Jojo Robles posted on his Facebook. Just recently today, he posted an update stating that Justice Secretart Vitaliano Aguirre confirmed that there really was a P2-million offer to Saldy and Lorenza delos Santos to Karambola Dwiz, a political program hosted by veteran journalists, Jojo Robles, Conrad Banal, Jonathan Dela Cruz and Political Science Prof. Tonton Contreras airing Monday.
As Robles said, some unnamed members of the Liberal Party even dared to bribe Kian's parents to join their good-for-nothing movement against Duterte. If they accept the offer, they would have to join a parade as exhibit A and exhibit B who strongly opposes on war against illegal drugs.
But the parents went to Atty. Persida Acosta's office to seek for a meeting with Duterte.
Robles sources weren't disclosed but he said there'll be more information in his column the next day.
Meanwhile, the President assured Kian's parents that there'll justice for their son.
"He promised us that he would help solve the case because anyone who is guilty should be punished," Lorenza delos Santos said in Filipino.
Saldy and Lorenza had lunch with Duterte at the Malago Clubhouse in Malacañang Park after his return from San Fernando, Pampanga around 1 p.m. Duterte assured them that no demonizing element will meddle in their son's case and that only the courts and prosecutor will handle it.
"I don’t cover up abuses. That’s not the work of the President," Duterte told Kian’s parents. "Our work is to protect the people."
But actually, Liberal Party's shameless charades doesn't end there. Just when Kian's loud noisy issue was about to die, the Yellow clan will never let that happen without getting anything from it.
Saldy delos Santos, Kian's father, revealed that before the burial of his son, there were groups opposing Duterte approached him and asked if they can parade the dead teenager's body in Edsa People Power Monument as part of their never-ending rallies against Duterte and it's war on illegal drugs.
Saldy refused their request and told them that he will not let his son be used in their political propaganda.
"Plano nila na dadalhin sa EDSA. Ewan ko, baka magra-rally sila pero hindi ako pumayag," he said.
Furthermore, netizens were in uproar after finding out what the father had said. Maia Villapane cussed at the LP for their disgusting desperate move.
