Ombudsman Morales hits back Duterte: "Hindi mo kami Masisindak"

Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales said in a statement a day after President Rodrigo Duterte said he would have Morales investigated for alleged "partiality" that they are not afraid of President Duterte's threat to her and her office.
“Sorry, Mr President but this office shall not be intimidated, As to the documents in our possession, we stand by our word,” the Ombudsman said.
Earlier, The President announced that he intends to form a commission to investigate the Ombudsman.
“You have to be investigated also. One of these days, kayo ang sigurado kong hahabulin dahil nga sa partiality ninyo. ‘Pag hindi ninyo imbestigahan ang sarili ninyo, ako ang mag-set up ng commission to investigate you as a President with investigating powers,” Duterte said over state-run People's Television.
The Ombudsman vowed that the office would proceed with its investigation, saying Duterte has nothing to fear if there were no anomalous transactions in his bank accounts.
“If the President has nothing to hide, he has nothing to fear,” the Ombudsman said.
The Ombudsman is also standing by the media statements of Overall Deputy Ombudsman Arthur Carandang on bank transaction records of Duterte and his family. Carandang said the records from the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) show a flow of money that would amount to P1 billion. but the AMLC (Anti-Money Laundering Council) immediately  released statement saying it is not the source of “documents and information attached by Senator Antonio Trillanes IV in his complaint regarding the alleged bank acounts of President Rodrigo Duterte."

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte earlier said she welcomes the probe because their family has nothing to hide.
